They may also choose which information to include on their profile, such as their education, professional experience, skills, city or region, interests, and photograph. Tutors must also provide their Social Insurance Number (SIN), which is securely stored and kept strictly confidential by Succès Académique. It is not shared elsewhere.

3. Information sharing

Respect for privacy is a priority, and all contact and tutor information is kept confidential by Succès Académique. Succès Académique never discloses student records to third parties unless explicitly provided for in this Privacy Policy or required by law. Information regarding clients’ use of our website, such as the number of unique page views and the domains from which visitors originate, may be shared with third-party companies specializing in marketing. Data may be shared in the following circumstances:

• Tutor: tutors may receive information regarding the student’s grade level, requested subjects, requested tutoring schedule, and any other information the parent wishes us to share with the tutor. Once a tutor is assigned to a student, the tutor is provided with the student’s name, telephone number, email address, and address.
• CRM (Customer Relationship Management): contact information and education-related information.
• Lessonspace: users’ contact information required to access an online tutoring session, including name and email address.
• Stripe: used to process the banking information required for invoice payments.

No other personal information is disclosed beyond what is described above. Our tutors: tutors retain the information throughout the duration of their assignment with the student and delete it once that assignment has ended. They also agree to maintain the confidentiality of this information at all times, including after the tutoring sessions have officially ended.

5. Legal notice

Succès Académique may disclose personally identifiable information at the request of judicial authorities or government agencies, or in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal proceedings, in order to protect, establish, or exercise its legal rights, or to defend itself against legal claims, as required or permitted by law. Such information may also be disclosed to protect the safety, property, or rights of a user or third party. Succès Académique may also disclose personally identifiable information to investigate or prevent any breach of its agreements or any illegal or harmful activity by a user.

Succès Académique shares information only with contractors, employees, and partners who require access to such data in order to manage transactions or support tutoring services, provided that they have formally agreed not to disclose this information to third parties. The contact information of clients who have created a file with Succès Académique is stored on the TutorCruncher customer relationship management (CRM) platform. This company applies standard security practices, and its Privacy Policy also governs the management and protection of this data.

However, no security measure is completely infallible, and Succès Académique cannot guarantee the complete protection of information that is stored or transmitted. In the event of a security breach involving confidential data, affected users will be notified.
